Authenticity & Heritage

A story of stone, heritage and authenticity

The preserved soul of a Charentaise home in the heart of Val de Saintonge

Origins

The centuries-old well at the heart of the estate

Nestled in the heart of the village of Villeneuve-la-Comtesse, in Val de Saintonge, La Maison du Puits takes its name from the authentic stone well that has watched over this Charentaise estate for generations.

The Restoration

Period wooden floors, timeless fireplaces and golden stones

Once a rural manor house and farming outbuilding, the estate has been patiently restored to preserve the soul of its golden limestone walls, exposed beams, traditional wooden floors and timeless period fireplaces, while offering all the comfort and leisure essential for large gatherings (secured pool, table football, high-speed fibre for remote work).

A home designed for coming together

Today designed to welcome up to 12 guests, La Maison du Puits is a warm sanctuary where parents, children and grandparents gather between countryside and coast, ideally located between the Marais Poitevin and the Atlantic Ocean.
